60 Days of Little Introspection, Day 17: Can You Do Little Space on a Budget? Yes, you can!
Good Afternoon Friends!
I hope you all are having a fabulous day. Today we are going to discuss how you can be a Little, and enjoy little space with so many wonderful things without breaking the bank! In the world of Cg/l and being an adult little we are fortunate enough to have a variety of shops that cater to our lifestyle. There is a constant stream of new products, books, toys, etc. for us to enjoy and while that is wonderful, it can be tough on the budget. As someone who has to watch their pennies, trust me when I say that I understand completely what it means to have a budget-friendly little space. As a homeschooling/ stay-at-home parent, the Captain and I have had to always pinch pennies since we are a single income household. As such, my little space has had to evolve modestly. Today I’d share those tips and tricks with you in hopes that you find a bit of inspiration for your own little space. Are you ready? Then, let’s dive in!
I. Embracing the Minimalist-Little Mindset:
Say it with me friends: less is more! In a world that is consumer-driven it is so easy to get sucked into buying too many things and stretching your money thin. But the truth is that you can be an adult little on ANY budget. No matter if you’re pulling in six figures or you don’t have a dime to your name, you can enjoy being a little because it all begins in your mind. Age regression is 100% psychological and involves shifting your mental state to regress to a younger age. You don’t need to buy anything to regress. You can do it all within yourself. Isn’t that amazing?! That said, it’s nice to have a few items that help ease your regression and make your little space more enjoyable. When you’re getting ready to make a wish list of little space items ask yourself the following question: how much do I want this item? Is it something that you need in your little space, or is it simply a want? Prioritize the things that feel essential for your regression versus things that are non-essential and are a want. For example: an adult baby might view diapers as an essential item, but a stuffy might not be essential. Whereas a babyfur might want to purchase animal ears and a tail to wear as an essential item, but not purchase a baby bottle. Everyone’s little space is different but the more you write down your list of essentials the better off you will be when you decide to go shopping.
II. Utilize Free Little Space Play Date Ideas:
It is 2022 and this year I want to focus on budget-friendly dates that you can enjoy whether you have a Caregiver or not! There are a ton of ways to be discreetly little while still treating yourself to a day out on the town. Here are a few ideas of things to do that are 100% free:
-
Check out picture books from your local library
-
Play on the playground at your local park
-
Browse your local Costco or a food market and enjoy eating bite-sized samples. (They’re just YOUR size! 😉 )
-
If you live near the beach, have a beach day! Dig in the sand, build a caste, feed the seagulls bread, etc. Trust me, no one will notice that you’re regressing right there on the beach. 🙂
-
Binge watch your favorite little space TV show. (Bonus points if you whip up a little space meal for yourself!)
-
Go geocaching! There are little treasures for you to find all over the world and right in your own town too!
-
Grab a few pieces of bread and head to a local duck pond to feed them.
-
Play a game of People Watching Bingo!
-
Fly a kite at the park
-
Order a Home Depot Kids Kit of the Month Building Project (It’s $5 USD and can be delivered to you!)
III. Bargain Items and Cheap Tricks:
When you’re trying to save money but you still want to feel little , begin with simple steps. Instead of purchasing dishware that is specifically child-sized, consider buying food in adorable shapes. You can pick up a box of macaroni and cheese in cute shapes for less than 1 USD or a box of dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets for just a few dollars. You can also shop at your local dollar store to pick up plastic eating utensils in bright colors, or an inexpensive sippy cup. If you’re desiring to use a baby bottle try purchasing the fast flow 6-12 month nipple for mason jars on Amazon ($9.99 USD). It comes in a pack of 2 and it can fit any regular mason jar size. This will give you inexpensive flexible options while still allowing you to use a bottle in your little space! Pacifiers can get pricey very quickly if you pick something customized or with an elaborate design. Choose a blank, plastic pacifier and consider decorating it yourself! With a hot glue gun and a few beads you can design your binky any way you wish. Lastly, check out your local thrift shop for a cute t-shirt that makes you feel little inside. You don’t need to wear a onesie to regress. Instead, consider a budget-friendly t-shirt and your favorite panties or diaper! This is a more economical option that achieves the same results. Never forget being little starts from within. The rest is just “icing on the cake”. 😉
Alright my friends, that’s it from me for this post. I hope you all enjoyed it! If you did, please comment and let me know. I’d love to hear from you! Subscribe to the site to get more posts from us and I will see you back here for the next topic!
