Happy Birthday, Kermit the Frog!

🐸Good Evening Beautiful Friends!🐸

I hope you all have had a wonderful start to the week. I want to take this moment with you to tell you what I love so much about Kermit the Frog. Yes, he is adorable. Yes, he can sing songs that make you grab a tissue and dab your eyes. But Kermit stands for everyone who has ever felt different. He stands for love and compassion. He talks about the beauty of diversity. Today, on his birthday, it is my deepest wish that we all remember to remain humble and kind. You never know what someone is going through. Take a moment to reach out a digital helping hand and offer up a kind word. Take time to pause and let someone vent who needs a kind ear to listen to them. Take those extra, precious few minutes to spread love and kindness. The world needs more of it.

As we celebrate Kermit’s birthday I urge you to take time to listen to his TED Talk. It’s one of the best TED talks I’ve heard in a while. Are you ready to jump into this Little Space Celebration? Then, let’s “hop” in! 🐸

🐸Kermit the Frog TED Talk:🐸

Kermit has met many famous people over time. One person he met and enjoyed speaking with is Ellen DeGeneres! Let’s take a look at Kermit’s interview on “The Ellen Show”.

🐸Songs with Kermit the Frog:🐸

Kermit is known for many things, one of which is singing and dancing! Today we are going to sing two of his very favorite songs, “Rainbow Connection” and “It’s Not Easy Being Green”. Both songs are about how, it’s not always easy being different, but it’s important to remember that there’s only one you… and you are perfect just the way you are. Just be yourself because that is enough!

🐸Now, let’s take a look at some of Kermit’s other frog friends! 🐸

Come snuggle up and listen to a read aloud story of “Frog and Toad”. If you aren’t familiar with the book by Arnold Lobel, “Frog and Toad” are two friends who live nearby each other in the same swamp. Although they don’t always see eye to eye, the stories they share help us remember that friendship is one of the greatest gifts in life. 🙂

🐸…. And another cute video about real frogs because I am a sucker for cute animal YouTube videos!: 🐸

We are going to wrap up this birthday celebration with a video on how you can make an origami frog just like Kermit! So, grab a piece of paper, settle in, and follow this video tutorial!
